PASSING SHIPS

Normand Clough When we first moved to Block 25, I photographed everything that moved on the water but I was soon swamped with photographs so I stopped . As can be seen from the map showing ship locations and the the arrivals/departures posting there is no shortage of passing vessels but in one respect some are special......

These are (or were) ships without photographs on MarineTraffic.com. They quietly flitted in and out of port like ninja's without drawing attention to themselves . Since MarineTraffic.com has started to cover Hong Kong I realised that I could contribute and decided to "out" such vessels .

I set my self an objective of photographing at least 1 ship a day on average, come hell or high water, specifically where the ship apparently had no photograph on MarineTraffic.com. Apart from lighting challenges when taking photos and the occasional shakes MarineTraffic.com sometimes "rediscovers" pictures when a new photo is uploaded which weren't previously listed Here is the running list starting from 20111117 of ships what I have "outed" ( Not counting those that I rediscovered)
